Let me introduce myself
My name is Elma Brandsema-Woltinge. I am happily together with my partner and enjoy my two fantastic daughters immensely. In my free time, I love being outdoors; I enjoy working in the garden and experiencing nature—I am a true outdoorsy person. We also have two dogs living with us. You absolutely do not need to be afraid of them, however, as they stay safely behind a fence.
My passion for nature and my love for hospitality form an important foundation for my plans. My life experience, combined with my cheerful and hospitable character, convinces me that I can offer a warm and welcoming home to the guests in my B&B.
The story behind the name
The name "De Brummelstee" is a tribute to my grandparents Braam. In the Drenthe dialect, "braam" is "brummel". The name is therefore a combination of "brummel" (braam), referring to their surname and my cherished memories of them, and "stee", which means "place" or "house" in Drenthe. The name "De Brummelstee" thus symbolizes not only the family bond and my warm childhood memories, but also the welcoming and homely atmosphere I hope to create in the B&B. 'Stee' refers to the idea of a place where one feels at home, a welcoming stee. The name is therefore a personal and meaningful choice.
